Did Jesus walk around with armed entourage?
How do I know?
John 18:10 - " Just then Simon Peter, who was carrying a sword, pulled it from its sheath and struck the Chief Priest's servant, cutting off his right ear. Malchus was the servant's name."
This is an except from the story of Christ's betrayal. Simon Peter was one of the 12 disciples and he was carrying a 'sword' not a pocket knife. Hence, we can deduce that Jesus knew Peter was armed by the obvious size of the sword.
Here's another scripture you could look up for yourself regarding Jesus and armed disciples;
Luke 22:35 Then Jesus said, "When I sent you out and told you to travel light, to take only the bare necessities, did you get along all right?" "Certainly," they said, "we got along just fine."
Luke 22:36 He said, "This is different. Get ready for trouble. Look to what you'll need; there are difficult times ahead. Pawn your coat and get a sword.
